Core Accounting server is currently unavailable error when logging into the Equitrac Web Client

Problem Statement:

When using a custom SSL certificate for Equitrac component communication, logging into the Equitrac Web Client reports the following error occurs when logging in.

"Equitrac Office Core Accounting Server is currently not available."

or

"Equitrac Express Core Accounting Server is currently not available."

Background:

This can be caused if the custom SSL certificate is using a differnt hostname than what is listed in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Equitrac\Common\CASName and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Equitrac\Common\CASName registry keys.

For example, if the custom certificate is signed as eqcasserver.domain.com, however the registry key has "eqcasserver" specified, this error will occur.

Resolution:

To correct this, on the server hosting the EQWebClient, update the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Equitrac\Common\CASName and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Equitrac\Common\CASName registry keys to the address that matches the SSL certificate.
