DRE Fails to Failover Properly in a Cluster After Upgrading the Version of Equitrac Office or Equitrac Express

With Equitrac Office and Equitrac Express, in a cluster environment, after performing an upgrading, the Document Routing Engine (DRE) does not failover properly. The DRE fails over, but then immediately fails back to the original node. This behavior can occur if the DRE node name was specified instead of the virtual DRE server name during the upgrade process.

To resolve the issue, perform the following steps:

1.     On the DRE clustered node, locate the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Equitrac\Common

2.     In the right pane, double-click DREName.

3.     In the Value data field, enter the virtual DRE server name.

4.     Click OK.

5.     Using the Cluster Administrator, restart the DRE service.
