Failed to load product catalogue.... Error Message Appears When Applying Equitrac Enterprise Licenses

Article # 3015646 - Page views: 263

In Equitrac Express or Equitrac Office, when you run the EQ Enterprise License Updater, an error message might appear indicating that the system failed to load the product catalogue. This issue might occur if the content of the ELC file is corrupt. To verify whether corruption has occurred, open the file. The file should contain a few lines of text only. However, if the file contains header information similar to the following, the file contents has been corrupted.

To resolve the issue, save a new copy of the file from the original Equitrac email and run the EQ Enterprise License Updater again.  If the version of the file in the email message is found to be corrupt, contact Equitrac for a replacement file.

NOTE:  If the content of the file is not corrupt, the issue might be the result of the wrong version of the updater being run.  Refer to solution 15184 for details.
