With Equitrac Office and Equitrac Express, in an environment with multiple print servers, in the Windows Event Viewer on the Core Accounting Server (CAS) multiple Port Monitor error messages are being generated every second. The appearance of the error messages does not appear to impact the ability to print or release documents; however, it is causing the Application log of the Event Viewer to fill up.
This behavior can occur if the Document Routing Engine (DRE) service on the CAS server could not communicate with the Device Monitoring Engine (DME) service on one of the print servers because the DME service was not running. To resolve the issue, restart the service. Verify that the error messages are no longer being generated.
