Equitrac Professional Print Client returns "unable to contact search server" message when trying to search Client/Matter numbers

Problem:

After entering a Client/Matter number into the Equitrac Professional Print Client and clicking on the Search button, the following error message is returned:

Unable to contact search server

Resolution:

The Equitrac Professional server version does not match the Equitrac Professional Print Client version. The server version is newer than the Print client version (e.g. the server is running Equitrac Professional 5.7 and the installed Print Client is version 5.5).

  1. Uninstall the existing Equitrac Professional Print Client from the affected PC
  2. Install the corresponding Equitrac Professional Print Client version that matches the version of the EP5 server

Note: A copy of the corresponding Equitrac Professional Print Client that is to be installed may be located on the Equitrac Professional server. Please contact the firm's Equitrac Professional server administrator to confirm where the print client software is stored on the server.
