Improved Sign Off experience with Ricoh Embedded on ShareScan 5.4 and Equitrac Professional 5
Issue:
Using ShareScan Embedded for Ricoh and Equitrac Embedded for Ricoh ESA for Equitrac Professional, the sign off process is not working as expected. Symptoms may include the previous session's user information remaining or not completely logging out.
Background:
The logout experience can be configured to allow the following workflow:
Step 1 - Log out of ShareScan. The focus switches automatically to Equitrac.
Step 2 - Log out of Equitrac.
Resolution:
For best results, recommend using Equitrac Professional version 5.6 or later with the latest hotfixes.
The following configuration steps are required to achieve this.
For ShareScan 5.4
In the ShareScan Administration Console / Advanced Settings / Shared Manager Settings:
1. RicohCRClientProductID=33081792 (The Product ID for Equitrac client for Ricoh ESA)
2. AutoQuitShareScanLogOff=True
After changing the settings, restart the ShareScan Services.
(If the "Bypass redirect screen" + "Logoff automatically" are set for a connector, then the the device also switches to the specified application at the end of the workflow.)
For ShareScan 5.2
In the ShareScan Administration Console / Advanced Settings / Shared Manager Settings:
1. RicohCRClientProductID=33081792 (The Product ID for Equitrac client for Ricoh ESA)
2. Confirm that the Cost Recovery service is correctly configured.
After changing the settings, restart the ShareScan Services.
