EP5 - TPC.EXE Fatal Application Error Message Appears on the TouchPoint Console Screen Each Morning
Problem Statement:
With Equitrac Professional 5, using a TouchPoint Console, each morning, a "TPC.EXE fatal application" error message appears on the screen. The TouchPoint Console must be manually rebooted before it can be used.
Resolution:
This behavior can occur if the cache folder in the DCE folder has become corrupt. To resolve the issue, perform the following steps:
1. Stop the Device Control Engine (DCE) Service on the Server to which the TouchPoint Console is communicating.
2. Navigate to the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\
3. Move all .BIN and .DB3 files in the cache folder to a temporary folder.
4. Restart the DCE Service.
New .BIN and .DB3 files will be created in the DCE cache folder.
NOTE: Once you have verified that the issue is resolved, delete the files from the temporary folder.
