Nuance response on WannaCry vulnerability.

The WannaCry Ransomware is based upon vulnerabilities in the Windows operating systems implementation of its SMB protocol.  This protocol is the foundation in Windows for file sharing amongst networked computers.  Microsoft patched the known vulnerabilities for the latest versions of Windows, prior to the WannaCry Ransomware being released in May, and has more recently released patches for earlier versions of Windows.  Nuance recommends that customers ensure that ALL Windows based operating systems are updated with the latest patches available from Microsoft, as any unpatched systems may be vulnerable to this attack, and customers should look to Microsoft for more information about Windows patches.
