Error Connecting to the Core Accounting Server displays when you open System Manager
Problem Statement:
Error Connecting to the Core Accounting Server displays when you open System Manager. You also have the following error in Windows Event Viewer:
Function 'EQCASService::eqCASServiceInitialize' failed. ErrCode=4294967295(0xFFFFFFFF) ErrMsg='SQL Error: '[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid object name 'cas_config'.' SQLState='42S02' SQLNativeError=208.'.
Cause:
The default database for the eqcas user in SQL is not set to the eqcas database.
Resolution:
1. Open SQL Server Studio Manager on the SQL Server where the eqcas database is located, and log in as an admin user other than eqcas.
2. Expand the Security --> Logins tree.
3. Right-click on the eqcas user and select Properties.
4. At the bottom of the dialogue screen, find the Default database drop down and select eqcas from the list. Click OK.
5. On the CAS server, restart the EQ CAS service. You should now be able to open System Manager without an error.
