On Xerox Versalink devices, a login prompt is displayed after selecting Secure Print when using CAC/PIV login

Problem: 

When logging into a Xerox Versalink MFD using the Xerox EIP Connect client and CAC/PIV authentication, after selecting the Secure Print Queue, the user is prompted for credentials.

Solution: 

If using Autostore/Output Manager integration

  1. Launch File Explorer on the Autostore server and navigate to c:\Program Files\Kofax\Autostore\ASXeroxEIPWeb20
    Note: If running older versions of ControlSuite, replace Kofax with Nuance.
  2. Make a backup copy of the web.config file
  3. Edit the web.config file in Notepad or some other text editor
  4. Add the following entry under <appSettings>
    <add key="DefaultDomain" value="kofax.com />
    Note: Replace kofax.com with the prefex that is part of the UPN provided by the CAC\PIV card.
  5. Restart the Autostore Workflow in Autostore Process Monitor

If using Output Manager only integration

  1. Launch File Explorer on the Output Manager server and navigate to C:\Program Files\Kofax\Output Manager\Services\Clients\Xerox
    Note: If running older versions of ControlSuite, replace Kofax with Nuance.
  2. Make a backup copy of the web.config file
  3. Edit the web.config file in Notepad or some other text editor
  4. Add the following entry under <appSettings>
    <add key="DefaultDomain" value="kofax.com />
    Note: Replace kofax.com with the prefex that is part of the UPN provided by the CAC\PIV card.
  5. In Output Manager Console, navigate to Administration > Set General Preferences
  6. Click on the Clients tab, change the Client Web Server dropdown to Xerox, check Restart Server and select Apply
