Output Manager: Jobs no longer process after installing Microsoft Update 2018-07 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework

Information:

After applying the "2018-07 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.7.2" via Windows Update, users are reporting that jobs are no longer being processed through the Windows Queue component in Output Manager. As a result, while it appears the job printed, it does not appear in the Output Manager Console, or when a user attempts to retrieve the job from a device or other destination.   In the Windows Application event log, the following events are recorded

  • Source: NSi Job Monitor Event ID: 1 Description: CNSiJobPort::InitializeBossConnection() - CoCreateInstance() ERROR 0x80040154
  • Source: NSi Job Monitor Event ID: 1 Description: CNSiJobPort::CreatePackage(), InitializeBossConnection() FAILED, GetLastError()=0x00000000.
  • Source: NSi Job Monitor Event ID: 1 Description: CNSiJobPort::StartDocPort() - CreatePackage() ERROR 0x01000006.
