Output Manager - Detected error (13) Cannot get special device ID

Problem Statement

After adding an Xlet to a device and going into the Output Manager icon, a messages with "Detected error (13) Cannot Get Special Device Id" appears.


This can occur when the same device is listed multiple times in Output Manager.


Find a duplicate device by MAC address within Output Manager and remove it.

  1. Go to Administration > Manage Devices
  2. Click on the Output Manager Devices tab
  3. Sort by MAC address.
  4. Remove any duplicate device from the list.
  5. Remove the device from DRS.
  6. Re-add the device to DRS
  7. Re-initialize applet.
