Problem Statement:

PaperPort will not load in Windows 10

The following items must be checked for PaperPort to function normally.

1) Incompatable Verison.

Only version 14.5 Patch 1 will work within Windows 10.  If you are running 14.0 or lower an upgrade must be purchased.

2) Windows Theme.

Right Click on Desktop -> Personalization -> Themes -> Theme Settings -> Verify Windows High Contrast theme is not selected.

3) Compatibilty Mode.

Run Regedit and locate each of these keys. There will a registry value on the right with PaprPort.exe.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\AppCompatFlags\Layers

4) Resolution

Change resolution to maximum of 1920 x 1080.

5) Custom Scaling Text.

Cannot Exceed 150%.

Control Panel > Display > set a custom scaling level.

6) Clean install of PaperPort.

See Attachment of removal process to uninstall and reinstall.

7) Windows User Account

Windows User Account must be clean. If you have issues loading PaperPort try a different user account.

8) Install of PaperPort using AUTORUN.exe.
