How to configure PowerPDF to support opening a Microsoft AIP protected PDF file? When you try to open a Microsoft AIP-protected PDF file in Power PDF, you get the following message:
"You must install an RMS Client to open RMS Security protected document, please contact your Administrator displays".
AIP is the evolution of AD RMS, and Power PDF does support it.
The warning message what customer gets is referring to the "Active Directory Rights Management Services Client" (MSIPC client) which is required for Power PDF to support AIP.
It goes along with Power PDF, and could be found in the following subfolder "..\Tools\RMS\" of the distribution package. The size of this client is not "heavy" at all, 64 bit version is 24MB and the 32 bit version is only 15MB. It is very easy to install and does not require any configuration. Once this client is installed, the file should open correctly.
