When creating PDF/A with highlights, the highlights become more like Redaction

Select File > Export > PDF \ A> Save the file.

Open the new file

The highlights looks more like Redaction than a highlight.

Answer:

PDF/A 1a and 1b do not support transparency.

You must use PDF/A 2 or above for transparent highlights.
