ShareScan 6.0.20226.4 client notes:

  • Version 6.0.20226.4 compatibility
    • Only compatible with and requires ShareScan 6.1 (recommended) or 6.0
    • ShareScan 6.1 HF10003 or newer required 
  • Resolved Issues
    • "ShareScan client has detected communication problems.." failure messages
      appearing and jobs not completing intermittently.
    • Slow logoff from the device when both eCopy ShareScan and Safecom are
      installed.
    • Failure to provide last page/generate preview and user cannot proceed when
      there are overlapping image uploads of 2 scan jobs (during parallel workflow)
    • On some models the About box may be empty and not display version
      information.
    • Icons or button texts may be missing on some models.
    • Folder selection screen may become blank on some models
    • Due to incorrect hard keyboard handling the application may crash or freeze
      when it gets brought into the foreground or pushed into the background too
      quickly.
    • Instead of “Scanning cannot be started. Please try it later.” errors, scan jobs
      are now correctly
      canceled if unknown errors are reported by the device.
    • Application may reset itself on iR-ADV C350P devices.
    • When the user selects Double-Book scanner setting on the main screen,
      scanning completes as expected, but if the user selects 'New Document' at
      the redirect screen to scan another document, the scanner setting will be
      reset to default Single-Sided value.
  • New Functionality
    • Adds support for IR ADVANCE 525i, 615i, 715i device family
  • Known Issue
    • On older (gen 2) device models ShareScan client may disconnecting from the server
      during the workflow. This is due to a SIGSEG exception occurring during client server
      communications.
       

ShareScan 6.0.20226.0 client notes:

  • Version 6.0.20226.0 compatibility
    • Only compatible with and requires ShareScan 6.1 (recommended) or 6.0
    • ShareScan 6.1 HF10003 required for iR Adv C256x and C356x models
  • Resolved Issues
    • On some models the About box may be empty and not display version information.
    • Icons or button texts may be missing on some models.
    • Folder selection screen may become blank on some models
    • Due to incorrect hard keyboard handling the application may crash or freeze when it gets brought

ShareScan 5.2.30330.0 Jar Notes:

  • The version 5.2.30330.0 jar file is compatible with and requires either ShareScan Server version 5.1 or 5.2.
  • Resolved Issues
    • Client paused waiting for additional pages with the message acquiring pages, although no further pages were left to be scanned
    • Caps lock and Shift keys did not work as expected on attached optional USB keyboard
    • If the Main Form has multiple pages, the up arrow was icon incorrectly displayed as "def.."
  • New Functionality

  • WARNING: Please ensure that users must uninstall the previous version of the Canon JAR file prior to installing this new release. Refer to Answer # 11633 Uninstalling eCopy ShareScan client for Canon MEAP

    • By proceeding with the download and installation of this software you are confirming that this software will only be a) installed on a device associated with a valid eCopy Maintenance and Support Agreement (M&S) or b) used for an initial ShareScan installation. Installing this software in any other environment (with the exception of showrooms or limited term evaluations) constitutes a violation of eCopy's M&S and End User License Agreements.

  • Please visit the Registration site for ShareScan upgrades.  Products must be properly registered and under current Maintenance & Support (M&S) to qualify for a v5 upgrade.
