Problem Statement:
How to adjust PDF versions from 1.4 to 2.0?
Some customer third party application integrations may require a specific PDF version for compatibility.
ShareScan v6.3 and above:
Before v6.3 there was a global value to choose which type of PDF can the system produce.
From v6.3 this value can be change at connector profile level.
- Choose connector profile
- Settings

ShareScan v5.1 - v6.2:
The default PDF version used by ShareScan 5.x is PDF version 1.6.
To create files with PDF 1.4 header:
- Open the ShareScan Administration Console > ribbon Home tab > Settings> Advanced Settings
- Find the PDFHeaderVersion14 option and set the value to true.
- Restart the ShareScan Manager services
ShareScan 5.0:
The default PDF version used by ShareScan 5.0 is PDF version 1.6.

- Find the PDFHeaderVersion14 option and set the value to true.
- Restart the ShareScan Manager PC
ShareScan 4.3.x:
The default PDF version used by ShareScan 4.3.x is PDF version 1.4.

Only PDF version 1.4 and earlier is supported. See version specific documentation for further details.
