How to adjust the device connection timeout value
By default, the ShareScan TCP/IP communication with device clients times out at 300 seconds. This value can be adjusted as follows in the following locations:
Open Windows registry and adjust the following key as desired.
- 32 bit machine: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Nuance\ShareScan\ShareScanManager\CommunicationTimeout
- 64 bit machine: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Nuance\ShareScan\ShareScanManager\CommunicationTimeout
ShareScan 5.1 and later:
Open the ShareScan Administration console> Ribbon Home tab> Settings>Advanced Settings
Find the CommunicationTimeout value and adjust accordingly
