ShareScan 6.1: License cannot be loaded because no activated upgradable license has been found

Problem Statement:

When attempting to upgrade eCopy ShareScan from version 4 to version 5 to version 6, the following error appears when activating the version 5 license: "License cannot be loaded because no activated upgradable license has been found".

Resolution:

This issue is resolved by using ShareScan 6.2 (recommended) or ShareScan 6.1 Service Pack 1 (SP1), both available from KeF (https://delivery.kofax.com).

Ensure that the ShareScan 5.x license is first loaded into the Administration Console before loading the ShareScan 6.x upgrade license.
