I wish to upgrade my eCopy ScanStation operating system, does Kofax provide assistance for this task?
No. The customer assumes full responsibility for the operating system upgrade including the licensed copies of software being used and acquiring the 3rd-party drivers needed for the OS upgrade. The 90-day manufacturer's hardware warranty (within North America) and 1-year hardware warranty (outside of North America) and subsequent Maintenance & Support (M&S) is based on the original operating system that was shipped on the unit. Therefore, any ScanStation replacement parts or whole-unit replacements will be based on the original purchased configuration. Kofax cannot support any technical issues as a direct result of an OS upgrade performed on the ScanStation.
