Cause:

This is caused by the Broadcom Management Agent, which is installed by default on the HP 6305 based ScanStations.  The purpose of this service is to monitor and propagate changes in manageability settings of management enabled Broadcom network interfaces.

Resolution:

As this is not an essential service, it can be safely stopped in Windows Services.

  1. Open Services
  2. Find Broadcom Management Agent
  3. Click on "Stop" to stop the service
  4. Change "Startup type" to "Manual" or "Disabled" to avoid starting it automatically at bootup

This should stop the error messages in the Windows Event Log.
