System.Xml.XmlException:'.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1.

SYMPTOMS:

The following file will show as a non zero byte file but will show no data when opened:

C:\ProgramData\Nuance\ShareScan\ScanStation Client\Config.XML

RESOLUTION:

•     Select OK on the error.

•     Make sure that the ScanStation client application is closed.

•     Browse to the file location, <c:\programdata\nuance\sharescan\scanstation>

•     Delete the Config.xml file.

•     Launch the ScanStation client. You will receive the notification: "Before starting ScanStation for the first time, you have to configure the scanner in the Administration Console. ScanStation will now quit." This step will create a default Config.xml file.

•     Launch The ShareScan Admin Console and select the ScanStation in the Device list. Select the scanner settings and launch the ScanStation Wizard by selecting the driver and proceeding through the driver installation.
