- ERP System: Oracle, SAP
- MarkView Version: 6.x to 9.0
- When setting up and configuring Advisor, you may see "No Data Found!" within some of the Advisor Configuration screens and therefore, may not be able to fully configure those aspects of the Advisor product.
- During an initial Database Synchronization for an Advisor installation, running a Cold Sync Export does not produce the expected number of files in the export directory, specified in the cold sync command (exportDir).
You may only see a subset of the following [complete] list of files that should appear:
cold-sync-invoiceworkitemattach cold-sync-createmarkviewcall cold-sync-createbusinessunit cold-sync-createuserinfo cold-sync-createqueue cold-sync-createdoctype cold-sync-workitemtransition cold-sync-workitemretrieved cold-sync-workitemcreate cold-sync-createworkitemclass cold-sync-createworkflow cold-sync-vendordetailcreate cold-sync-vendorcreate cold-sync-createpaymenttermdetail cold-sync-createpaymentterm cold-sync-createholdtype cold-sync-invoiceheadercreate cold-sync-invoiceholdcreate cold-sync-invoicedetailcreate
Therefore, while performing a Cold Sync Import, all of the required data does not import successfully.
The initial Cold Sync export process that is run as part of the Database Synchronization procedure during an Advisor installation needs to be run for ALL configured organizations. Subsequent attempts to synchronize new orgs to Advisor can be specified by using the "orgShortNames" parameter as stated in the MarkView Advisor Documentation.
To resolve this issue, please follow the steps in the MarkView Advisor Documentation to run Cold-Sync without specifying any specific Organizations, which will subsequently export ALL Organizations. After completing Cold-Sync for All Organizations, if you later add a new Organization you can follow the instructions in the Documentation to run a Cold-Sync for that specific Organization.
