MarkView File Capture - Emails being sent are not received.



Applies To

  • ERP System: Oracle, SAP
  • MarkView Version (Oracle): MarkView 5.0 to 5.10.x and MarkView 6.2 and higher
  • MarkView Version (SAP): MarkView 6.1 and higher

Troubleshooting Steps

If you are not receiving any emails that user are sending in to the MarkView File Capture please take the follow the steps below to diagnose the issue.

  • Ensure that you have correctly entered the email address is properly setup in MarkView Administration
  • Confirm that your incoming mail server is capable of using the protocol selected (IMAP or POP)
  • Confirm that the username and password for the email account are correct.
  • Try to log on to the email account using Outlook Express or another email client to confirm that the emails were received.

If you are still not receiving the emails please take the steps below and log a support incident with MarkView Technical Support:

  • Enable Debug logging by setting the preference MVFC_DEBUG_MODE to TRUE
  • Restart the OC4J that is running MarkView File Capture
  • Send in an email to reproduce the error
  • Please provide MarkView Technical Support with the MVFilecapture.log file from your log directory.
