Kofax Analytics for MarkView ( KAMV ) : Access Control List ( ACL ) script execution requires a fully qualified domain name for the MarkView Host Name

3014603

Question / Problem:

If users are unable to login to the Viewer from KAMV, you may find the following errors in the logs:

ORA-14551: cannot perform a DML operation inside a query

ORA-06512: at "KAMV_USER.KAMV_UTIL",

It could mean you haven't run the ACL script for the correct Oracle EBS version in your environment, or you are using an IP address instead of a fully qualified domain name for the MarkView host name when prompted during the execution of the ACL script, as per the Create Schema for Kofax Analytics for MarkView steps documented in the Kofax Analytics for MarkView Administation Guide.

Answer / Solution:

The failure to run the (correct) ACL script, or using an IP address instead of a fully qualified domain name for the MarkView host name, can ultimately impact end user ability to login to the Viewer via KAMV.

Make sure you've run the ACL (Access Control List) grant scripts per the Kofax Analytics for MarkView Administration Guide for the Oracle EBS you're using (11i or 12.x).

NOTE: The Kofax Analytics for MarkView Administrator's Guide has instructions for running the script. Be sure to use a fully qualified domain name for the host - do not use an IP address.

"To create the Access Control List file for accessing HTTP services from the database, run kamv_create_acl.sql and create a new ACL for the schema user created earlier. When prompted, enter the schema username and the MarkView host name."
