KAMV - Errors in Alert.log for Indexes Being Marked as Unusable.

Behavior

  • DBA's may see a number of errors in the alert.log for the database stating that indexes have been marked unusable:
"Index KAMV_DATA.I_PaymentDateMultiTouchInvo_01 or some [sub]partitions of the index have been marked unusable"

Known Causes

  • This is due to the way in which Insight is rebuilding indexes automatically, as opposed to it being done by Oracle.
