  • The following query can be used to determine the exact groups in your environment that are considered AP Groups. (See Resolution section below if this query returns no records)
    • select ug.group_name
          from mv_user_group ug
      where ug.group_id in (select group_id from MVAM_AP_USER_GROUP)
      order by group_name;

Resolution

  • If the user belongs to the correct group as listed above then take these steps to further troubleshoot the issue.
    • MarkView Advisor 1.0 to 2.1
      • The updating of the Advisor AP User List is triggered by the DayTick event, so the list will simply update overnight.
        Note: If you need to trigger the update immediately, you can run the following in the MarkView schema:
        mvap_utility.updateAdvisorAPUserList();
    • MarkView Advisor 3.0 and higher
      • The updating of the Advisor AP User List occurs automatically when end users are added to or removed from MarkView Groups.
        • Remove and then re-add the user to a MarkView Group to see if this resets the AP status of the user
        • Run the following query in the MarkView schema to confirm what groups are seeded as AP groups:
          select ug.group_name
               from mv_user_group ug
          where ug.group_id in (select group_id from MVAM_AP_USER_GROUP)
          order by group_name;
        • If the above query returns no records then run the Seed_AP_Groups.sql script attached to this answer to seed the AP Groups. After running this you will need to remove and re-add the user to a MarkView group for the change to be picked up in Advisor.
        • If re-adding a single user resolves the issue please take these steps which will re-synchronize all of the users.
          • From the Advisor Schema.
            • grant update on mvac_user_info to MARKVIEW
              • From the MarkView Schema:

Keywords: ap, users
