How to check if internet explorer compatibility mode is on?

 

Compatibility mode in IE is a feature that helps you view webpages that were designed for previous versions of the browser, however having it enabled can break newer sites that were designed for modern browsers. Here’s how to disable it and make sure it only runs for older sites.

First Step

1) Open Internet Explorer.

2) On the Tools menu, click Compatibility View settings.

3) From the list of "Websites you've added to Compatibility View" make sure:

a) MarkView URL is not listed in "Websites you've added to Compatibility View" and 

b) "Display intranet sites is Compatibility View" is unchecked

Second Step

1) Open Internet Explorer
2) Go to MarkView home page and login
3) Select Tools on the menu bar in IE, and then select F12 Developer Tools

4) Click On Console Tab and check for any message that indicate:

a) Internet Explorer is running in Enterprise Mode emulating IE version

Another Examples of notification of sites added to compatibility view or configured to run in compatibility view are shown below.

Third Step

On corporate networks, compatibility view settings are often controlled centrally via group policy (as opposed to a specific user setting). In this case, look for the little office icon next to MarkView URL, which it does confirm that you are running MarkView in compatibility mode or not:
