- The amount of memory utilized by the Apache Web Server increases each time it is restarted in Oracle Application Server.
- This issue is related to Oracle bug 5712794 and 5376600.
Oracle has provided the following work around
- Option 1:
Use the following commands to start and stop the HTTP Server.
opmnctl stopproc ias-component=HTTP_Server
opmnctl startproc ias-component=HTTP_Server
- Option 2:
Comment out the Apache modules that seem to be causing the memory leak. You can do this my commenting out the include statements in httpd.conf file.
The modules are as follows:
mod_php5 (should already be commented out)
oracle_apache (this removed OracleDAV and mod_plsql)
mod_osso (should already be commented out)
For example the following lines can be commented out:
LoadModule perl_module libexec/libperl.so
LoadModule php4_module libexec/libphp4.so
