Question / Problem:

Unable to bring MarkView server deployments to active state, and the error below appears in the markview_server.log file:

Caused By: Password verification failed

Or <Error> <Deployer> <> <markview_server> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <1571110275285> <BEA-149265> <Failure occurred in the execution of deployment request with ID "14505369159656294" for task "41". Error is: "weblogic.application.ModuleException: Password verification failed"

Answer / Solution:

This is normally caused by an invalid java key store password, the value of the preference : AUTH_SSO_SAML_KEYSTORE_PASSWD needs to be updated with the correct password.

This can be done by generating the migration script from any other working environment (MarkView Home > Administration > Migration Utility), then checking the option "Enable SAML" and re-entering all SAML information including the correct password, and click on Generate SQL button and save the script.

Then run the script against the database of the affected environment and restart the application server.
