MarkView Bar Code Generator - Sentinel service error after rebooting MarkView Barcode Server

Behavior

  • Every time I reboot the Barcode server I get the following message:
    The Sentinel service depends on the Parport service which failed to start because of the following error:
    The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

Known Causes

The installation of Adrenaline Image Processing Engine (AIPE) may have an impact on the drivers required.

Resolution

This message is not directly related to any Kofax Software.

Kofax has indicated that there are later versions of Sentinel driver that do not display this "Parport" service error message. The Sentinel drivers are supported by SafeNet http://www.safenet-inc.com/.
