Behavior

  • When using HTTPS as the document image transport protocol for the -MarkView Barcode Server- on a Windows 2003 Server the following Error(s) appear in the application console and log file:

  • When using HTTPS as the document image transport protocol for the -MarkView Print Server- and -MarkView Viewer Desktop Edition- on a Windows 2003 Server, the following error message is displayed:
    Unable to open document. Image Error (10009) opening page 1

How do I prevent these errors?

Internet Explorer Security settings on Windows 2003 Server.

Resolution

To resolve the error for the -MarkView Barcode Server-, take the following actions:

  1. Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel.
  2. In the Control Panel, double-click Internet Options
  3. In the Internet Properties screen, select the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Security section and find the Do not save encrypted pages to disk checkbox. Make sure this checkbox is not checked.

To resolve the issue with -MarkView Print Server- and -MarkView Viewer Desktop Edition-, follow the preceding steps and take the following additional steps:

  1. Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel.
  2. In the Control Panel, double-click Internet Options
  3. In the Internet Properties screen, select the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Security section. Make sure that the following three checkboxes are not checked:
    • Check for publisher's certificate revocation
    • Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)
    • Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed
