MarkView Connector - Oracle DataAccess error received when testing the database connection

Behavior

• After upgrading from 6.x to 6.4, users may receive an error similar to the following when clicking on the "Test DB" button from the Capture and Output Components:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly
'Oracle.DataAccess, Version=2.102.2.20, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot
find the file specified.

File name: 'Oracle.DataAccess, Version=2.102.2.20, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342'

Known Causes

• The issue occurs when users do not have the correct version of Oracle Data Provider (ODP) for .NET installed.

Resolution

• Install Oracle Data Provider (ODP) for .NET 2.x.
• If Oracle Data Provider (ODP) for .NET 2.x was recently installed and you are still encountering this issue, please attempt to reinstall Oracle Data Provider (ODP) for .NET 2.x, as this reinstallation may resolve the issue.
