MarkView Mail Gateway - Error - Missing mandatory property (MailBody)

Behavior

• In Certain situations the Process Mail Gateway may fail to process Inbound email Approval / Rejection messages with an error similar to the following occurring in the Windows Event Viewer log file:

  Unable to create work item for inbound mail message: ORA-20963: Missing mandatory property (MailBody) for WorkItem Class (4) ORA-06512: at "MARKVIEW.SF

Known Causes

• When using the Approve and Reject email Approval functionality (introduced in the MarkView 8.1 release) if the user manually deletes the body of the email and then sends the Approval or Rejection the above error will occur and the email will NOT be processed. The user will not receive notification of the failure.

Resolution

• When sending an inbound email Approval or Rejection do not delete the body of the email message. Ensure that the body always contains text.

Note that if this situation does occur the Process Mail Gateway will stop processing the problematic email and delete it. It will then resume processing at the next configured time. The user will NOT be notified of the Approval/Rejection failure and will need to take the action again ensuring there is a value in the email body.
