Troubleshooting Steps

  • If you encounter and issue with MarkView Expense Management, take the following steps
    1. Enable MarkView BarCode Server to log both errors and normal messages as noted in the MarkView documentation.
      • The enhanced logging will display when a request is read by the MarkView BarCode server and how many barcodes were found. Capture the event viewer log file from the machine which MarkView BarCode server is installed upon.
    2. Expense report cover pages by default are printed in a portrait format. Tests should be conducted printing expense report cover pages in a landscape and confirm if recognition rate improves. Recognition rate of barcode can be confirm by reviewing event viewer of machine which MarkView BarCode is installed upon.
    3. If printing expense report cover pages is not a valid workaround, refer to the following Support Web Answer to change the orientation of the expense report cover page from horizontal to vertical.
