Error occurred during initialization of VM. Could not reserve enough space for 2097152KB object heap

Question / Problem: 

We are trying to install MarkView 10.0 Capture & Output components on a new Windows 2016 server. While we can install the individual components, if we attempt to run the base installer we get the following error:

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for 2097152KB object heap

Answer / Solution: 

This error can occur when installing MarkView Capture & Output components on a Windows 64bit operating system machine when using the wrong JDK (i.e., a 32bit JRE). Ensure you have a 64bit JDK on the destination host machine and use that as what the installer is looking toward.

You may also install the components manually:

• (Mail Gateway)     KofaxMarkView-10.0.0_Capture_Output.zip\modules\document-server-windows-dist-10.0.0\sfmailsvc\installer
• (Bar Code Server) KofaxMarkView-10.0.0_Capture_Output.zip\modules\document-server-windows-dist-10.0.0\mvbarcodesvc\installer
• (Data Export )       KofaxMarkView-10.0.0_Capture_Output.zip\modules\data-export-server-dist-10.0.0\dataexport\installer
• (KCEC) KofaxMarkView-10.0.0_Oracle\modules\document-server-dist-10.0.0\kcec-markview.msi
