Capture export error "Document or document pages are rejected. Export was not performed." "Attempt to write a read-only databaseattempt to write a readonly database."
Question / Problem:
The following error can appear in three places in Kofax Capture and KTM products
1. Document or document pages are rejected. Export was not performed.
2. Attempt to write a read-only databaseattempt to write a readonly database.
From Kofax Capture:
1- When you go to the failed batch:
a. Right click on the batch
b. Select properties
c. Select history
You will see all the queues the batch visited. and the following error was generated in the Export queue:
Document or document pages are rejected. Export was not performed.
2. In the learning queue you will get the following error:
Attempt to write a read-only databaseattempt to write a readonly database
From KTM:
3. When you go to the KTM Project Builder and open the related KTM project, you will get the following error:
Attempt to write a read-only databaseattempt to write a readonly database
Answer / Solution:
First Solution:
Give full control privileges to KTM Online learning folder.
You can find the online learning directory by
- Open the KTM Project in Project Builder.
- Click Project Settings in Home tab
- The directory is given in the "Path to online learning files" field.
Second Soultion:
If the first solution which was to give full control privileges to the KTM Online learning folder failed to resolve the issue,
please refer to "Required Folder Permissions” in the Kofax Capture Installation guide. This chapter describes the
permissions that are required to run Kofax Capture.
