Behavior
- Kofax Batch Manager takes a long time to process captured documents.
- Batches, particularly those captured by mobile phones, are stuck in waiting stage.
Known Cause
- The captured images are oversized.
- VRS is not enabled in KIC (Kofax Import Connector) or you have not purchased a license for it.
Resolution
- Confirm KIC Destination Configuration Settings:
- Go to KC Administration > Electronic Documents > Configuration > Select the Destination > Click Edit Destination > Import Settings.
- Change the “Scale To” option to 'Letter'
- In the "Convert To" settings, select TIF.
- Save changes, then restart the KIC services and try again.
- MarkView expects black & white tiff files that are no more than 300dpi.
- Confirm VRS License:
- Make sure that you have a license to use VRS for KIC (To check the license : Go to Start Menu --
- >Program Files -->Kofax Capture -->License Utility application (KIC - VRS will need to be listed).
- Go to KC Administration > Electronic Documents > Configuration > Select the Destination > Click Edit Destination > Import Settings.
- Ensure that "VRS all images" is selected in the VRS dropdown and select the "Apply VRS to PDF files" checkbox. Save changes, restart the KIC services and try again.
