  • How can I determine Release and Patchset versions for Oracle Applications?

Known Causes

  • For many support and troubleshooting situations, it is very useful to understand the exact release of Oracle Applications as well as the exact patchset of various applications (especially the AP Patchset for DFM issues).
  • MarkView 7.0 has introduced Fixpacks and Service Packs that automatically update the MarkView version number. The version number is then displayed in the MarkView Home and Support pages. Fixpacks and Service packs are not available in MarkView 6.x

Resolution

  • For MarkView 7.0 or later:
        The version number is updated with each Fix Pack or Service Pack.
        Fix Packs tend to refer to the fourth set of digits (i.e. Fix Pack 6 sets the version to 7.0.1.6)
        Service Pack tend to refer to the third set of digits (i.e. Service Pack 2 sets the version to 7.0.2)
  • For MarkView 6.x
    The following work for Oracle Applications Release 11i versions. The Oracle Applications Release:
