Oracle Apps R12.x - Using the 'Open Work Item' button in the Working Folder and then attempting to search for a new Invoice in the Invoice Workbench does not work

Behavior

• Using the 'Open Work Item' button in the Working Folder and then searching for a new Invoice in the Invoice Workbench does not work.
• The reproduce steps for the behaviour are similar to:
  • Invoke Working Folder Form
  • Click 'Open Work Item' for a document and the Invoice details opens up in the Invoice Workbench form
  • After this searching for any other Invoice on the same Invoice Workbench form does not yield the expected result

Known Causes

• This behavior is actually related to the following Oracle functionality and bug report and Oracle has actually confirmed this is working as they intended:
  • Bug 12757492 : CAN DRILL DOWN FROM VIEW JOURNAL LINES TO INVOICE WORKBENCH AND DO BILND QUERY T
  • R12: Forms Added To Navigator Not Behaving Correctly after AP RPC patches (Doc ID 1672333.1)

Resolution

• Per Oracle, this is the intended functionality of the Oracle EBS application. To search for subsequent invoices, Oracle indicates you need to close and reopen the Invoice Workbench form
