Summary

5173

Applies To

  • ERP System: SAP
  • MarkView Version: All Versions

Behavior

In some situations customers may opt to change the Server Name associated with their SAP Instance. This will require changes to the MarkView configuration in order for MarkView to function correctly.

Resolution

Kofax recommends that the following process be tested in a non-production environment prior to migrating the server in your Production environment. This will ensure the process is understood and will help ensure that there is minimal disruption to the Production environment when the Server Name change occurs.

  • Stop any Database Jobs as well as the KC/KTM Services. This will help prevent MarkView from making callouts to SAP while the Server Name change is in process.
  • Update the MarkView BAPI/RFC configurations.
    • In MarkView Home -> Administration -> Module Admin -> Gateway Admin, ensure both the BAPI and RFC Connections are pointing to the correct SAP Server.
  • Delete and Resend the SAP Certificate to MarkView
    • Run the following queries to backup and delete the entries of your MVSAP_CONTENT_REPOSITORY_CERT table.
      • create table MVSAP_CONTENT_REPOSITORY_CERTB as select * from MVSAP_CONTENT_REPOSITORY_CERT;
      • delete from MVSAP_CONTENT_REPOSITORY_CERT;
      • commit;
