Known Causes

  • If the tiff file is large in file size (larger than 800KB) the Viewer is unable to process this depending on the amount of memory that is allocated
  • The second cause of this issue is if the dimensions of a tif image is very large, (more than 4000 pixels x 3000 pixels for example)

Resolution

  1. Increase the amount of memory that the Viewer module is allocated. (This is done on the applicaiton server)
  2. When scanning or ingesting via email using KIC, ensure your dpi settings are no more than 300 dpi.
  3. All files must be black & white when exporting to MarkView. Grayscale and color are not supported.
    1. You may be using VRS in which you can bring in to VRS grayscale, but VRS must save out as black & white for MarkView.
  4. If you are using images from a camera, please ensure that you have run them through a post processing software such as Kofax VRS, this will allow for smaller image sized.
