Known Causes

  • Incorrect Preference settings for the WEBCLNT_JAVA_PLUGIN_MIME_TYPE and / or WEBCLNT_JAVA_PLUGIN_CLASS_ID

Resolution

  • To fix this problem, please ensure that the following MarkView preferences are set to the appropriate values:
    • WEBCLNT_JAVA_PLUGIN_MIME_TYPE
    • WEBCLNT_JAVA_PLUGIN_CLASS_ID
You can update the values of these preferences via170 MarkView Admin, System Preferences tab.
The WEBCLNT_JAVA_PLUGIN_CLASS_ID preference only affects MarkView Viewer Enterprise Edition. You must set this preference to a value that identifies the version of the Java plug-in that you are using for applets in MarkView Viewer Enterprise Edition. For example, if the Sun plug-in is version 1.4.2.6, you would set the value of this preference to:
      CCLSID:AFEEFAC-0014-0002-0006-ABCDEFFEDCBA
The central block of digits (in this case, 0014-0002-0006 ) represents the version number of your Java plug-in (1.4.2.6)? When you update your Java plug-in, make sure that you update your CLSID to the correct version number for your plug-in.
