Issue

Optitrade Confirm is not getting updates back from CTM

 

Solution

If you can see trades in the Confirm UI that are awaiting updates from CTM for a long time and no activity is being recorded, check the below few things to ensure CTM connection is alive.

  • Confirm CTM GW 3 service is running. Sometimes the service just needs a restart if it has been running for a long time. 
  • Check GW\CTMIN folder in Confirm installation directory. If the folder is empty this is a good sign and means messages are not stuck. If there are lots of messages / files in the CTMIN folder and they are increasing, this means updates are coming from Omgeo CTM but Confirm is unable to process them. Check the logs.
  • Check ConfirmPlugin3.log and TRACE.3 log. If there are any login errors, machine ID might need a password update; for any connection errors check with Omgeo CTM if they are experiencing are any service degradation.
