Users are not able to login to AP Essentials (formerly ReadSoft Online). How can the password be reset?
There are several ways to reset the password in AP Essentials (formerly ReadSoft Online).
- Open the browser and navigate to the appropriate Logon URL. Click on the Forgot Password link and enter the UserName. The System will then send out an email containing a link to reset the password.
- Alternatively, login as administrator, go to Account-> User management -> Users, and click on the Reset Password link for the user. This will send a password reset email to the email address containing a password reset link. **Depending on how your email templates are configured, you may receive a system generated password within the email instead of a password reset link.
- If the user account is connected to an obsolete or incorrect email address, edit the user account and change the email before resetting the password.
If no email appears it's possible it has ended up in the SPAM folder.
Please also note, these emails sent from the AP Essentials (formerly ReadSoft Online) system will not be sent from "@kofax.com". They will be sent from "email@example.com", so please make sure no "no-reply" emails, or anything sent from "@readsoftonline.com" are not blocked.
