Decimals and/or thousand separator incorrectly extracted
Issue
AP Essentials (formerly ReadSoft Online) is incorrectly recognizing the number of decimals for a line item quantity and/or amount field.
Cause
This may happen when the format for the line item quantity and/or amount fields differs and one or several of them have either three or zero decimals.
Example 1: Quantity: 3.000 Unit price: 10.00 Line total: 30.00
Example 2: Quantity: 3,000 Unit price: 50.00 Line total: 150,000.00
In both cases above AP Essentials (formerly ReadSoft Online) may occasionally interpret the decimal/thousand separator incorrectly and extract the quantity either as 3 or 3000.
Solution
By correcting the values during verification the system will learn the correct format. If this happens for many suppliers, please make sure the document type used corresponds with the originating country for the document.
If corrections has been made several times on different occasions and the issue persists, please contact support.
