Support Article

A connector trace can be configured to provide background information for document processing in XBOUND. It is commonly used to provide timing details as document data is transferred from one XBOUND component to another. This information can be used to identify bottlenecks, since the process information for each individual module is made available.

Note: The connector trace primarily returns information related to the data-transmission protocol used in XBOUND. Standard logging should be used when investigating error messages or warnings that occur within the system.

A connector trace can be configured for the following:

  • Any XBOUND client component
  • Activity service
  • Collector service
  • System Agent service

To activate a connector trace, do the following:

  1. Stop the client or service requiring the connector trace.
  2. Go to the XBOUND application directory, and run the xboundAnalysis.exe file.
  3. In the XBOUND Diagnos & Analysis Tool window, click Activate Tracing.
  4. Select the configuration file of the component requiring the trace, and then click Continue to Step 2.
