When attempting to perform a silent installation remotely to a target server, the following error is observed in the KofaxTotalAgilityInstallErrorLog.log file:

Error configuring silent install, setup will now exit. :: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {C01B9BA0-BEA7-41BA-B604-D0A36F469133} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80070005 Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)).

Given the error states Access is denied, this suggests a permissions problem. The method throwing the error is System.RuntimeTypeHandle.CreateInstance().  This is a generic error and many online articles suggest this method can throw this error due to incorrect COM permissions or even due to Windows Updates.

Additionally, when searching for the GUID (C01B9BA0-BEA7-41BA-B604-D0A36F469133), then multiple articles suggest the error is caused by PowerShell remote command. This GUID relates to PowerShell.

Engage with your Systems Administrator team to allow PowerSheel to launch remote commands such as our Silent Installer exe.
