Question / Problem:

After successfully deploying and starting the Kofax Ricoh MFP Java Client on a Ricoh Multi-Function Printer (MFP) device with the Android-based Smart Operation Panel, the Kofax icon does not appear on the device's Home screen.

Answer / Solution:

Ricoh MFP devices that use the Android-based Smart Operation Panel store SDK/J-based Extended Features, such as the Kofax Ricoh MFP Client, in the Program Menu under Classic Applications.

To manually add the Kofax Ricoh MFP Client icon to the Smart Operation Panel's Home screen:

  1. On the Home screen, press the grid icon.
  2. Select Programs.
  3. Press and hold the Classic Applications icon until the Home screen appears.
  4. Select the Kofax icon.
  5. The Kofax icon will now be displayed on the Home screen.
