Question / Problem

Kofax TotalAgility 7.0 — Is it possible to prevent a user from using multiple licenses by logging into multiple browser tabs?

Answer / Solution

By default, KTA 7.0 allows the same user account to log into multiple browser tabs. Each browser tab that successfully logs in requires a TotalAgility user license.

This behavior can be changed by modifiying the default setting for Allow Multiple Logon:

  1. Open the KTA Designer Home Page.
  2. Click System Settings.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. On the General tab, note that the Allow Multiple Logon setting is set to Yes by default.
  5. Change to No.

Changing the Allow Multiple Logon setting to No will only allow the user to log on from one location at a time. If a user is currently logged in to a browser tab, and successfullly logs in to a second browser tab, the previous session is disconnected.

Test this change in a test environment to deteremine if setting Allow Multiple Logon to No is appropiate for your environment.
